About
The Cambridge University Chinese Orchestra Society (CUCOS) was founded in 2007 with the hope of giving a new musical perspective to the
community in UK and to share oriental musical excellence with people around the world. The Society consists of a Chinese Instrument
Department (CID) and a Western Instrument Department (WID). They both
involve talented musicians, who are from various parts of Asia and
other parts of the world and are interested in performing Chinese or
other Oriental music. As well as our inaugural concerts in Cambridge,
last year we held tour concerts in Oxford and London. We also run
various instrumental classes throughout the year. The Society is open
to people from any ethnic group.
